I made a comic book! Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I created a short comic about two sisters, Xochi and Steph, trick-or-treating. They quickly learn that weird things tend to happen on Halloween night. The book is actually a self-contained story from a larger comic book I've been working on titled Xochitlan.
It was interesting that the final product took so many programs. I created all the illustrations in Procreate on my iPad, lettered the pages in Illustrator, added effects in Photoshop, and packaged it all together for both digital & print with InDesign. I actually have plans to make some motion graphics for it too with After Effects and Audition!

I knew from the beginning that I wanted to use a limited color palette for the comic. I find that there's something so tantalizing and enjoyable when entire projects only use a few colors.
And hey, I guess the design decisions paid off! Last House of the Night was #1 in Seasonal Graphic Novels on Amazon for a little while!
